Please join Native Land Conservancy as we observe and monitor plants and animals on the Wampanoag Common Lands (WCL) in Kingston, MA for our 4th annual BioBlitz on Wednesday, August 12 from 10 am to 2 pm. This is a fun social gathering of professional and citizen scientists to enjoy the land and environment while collecting biodiversity data using cell phone cameras and the iNaturalist app.
NLC began the BioBlitz tradition at WCL in 2023 establishing a baseline of biodiversity. New data collected annually in this intense survey of organisms helps to document and track changes as NLC continues the restoration of this 32-acre pine barren that surrounds Muddy Pond.
Light refreshments are provided. Pack a lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellant, and a fully charged cell phone with the iNaturalist app downloaded.
